Over the years, “Manna” has become a household name in the city of London and Europe as it rolls out of people’s mouths when it’s time for a smooth mixture of good afro-juju, afrobeat, highlife, gospel music, and stunning stage entertainment. Born into a Christian family, Israel Olayinka Ekundayo kicked off his music career in the church at a very young age. Like many other top singers, he started as a church vocalist in Nigeria and performed a few gigs with the church before finally setting up his own band, which consisted of 19 members. Being a young, aspiring musician, and with his stage charisma as a strong weapon, it didn’t take long before he started getting gigs and getting known all over Nigeria.
In 1999, Israel moved over to the UK, gathered some of the best Nigerian musicians London could offer, and continued his career. Not long after, he registered his business as Manna Entertainment Ltd. with the aim of showcasing and promoting his type of music in the UK and diaspora. Israel Ekundayo and his Manna Band have staged many concerts in the UK and have supported many other acts, such as Jide Chord, Sir Shina Peters, and Yinka Ayefele, whenever they are on tour in the UK. In 2001, I released a gospel album titled IRETI ORUN {Heavenly Hope}, which was dedicated to God.
The ERE video was released on all social media platforms on August !7, 2020. Israel Olayinka Ekundayo is married to Victoria Olusumbo Ekundayo CEO of Vikky-Silver MUA, and blessed with children.
